The graceful curve of the shaft provides clearance for all-around climbing - on steep snow, waterfall ice and even mixed pitches. The AZTEREX's lightweight handle design moves the balance point up the shaft and focuses the weight in the head. This provides better penetration in hard water ice and also a lighter, more natural feel when dry tooling. A new innovation is the versatile modular GripSwitch handrest which provides support and knuckle protection on steep pitches yet can be removed and stored in the shaft for better penetration in snow. Subtle reverse curved and drooped BLUE ICE PICK has built in wrench (use your spare to change picks) and is available in optional, durable QUATRO "T" rated model (Technical - 3.5 kn min. strength) for mixed torqueing. Hammer head has an end taper equal to a #10 STOPPER for slotting and camming and is ready to place pitons.
