Built on it's own last, this futuristic outer boot is constructed of transparent, PU-coated and embossed Benecke CerCom PUR leatherette with strategic placements of 3 mm Idro-Perwanger leather over the ankle and stretch Lorica over the tongue. This material is backed by micro-cellular thermal insulating foam faced with a thermo-reflective aluminum film which is flocked on the inside to create a durable, non-slip, anti-abrasion finish. Several design details are built in to facilitate rather than restrict the movements of climbing - flexible and molded PU ankle and backstay - for better foot positioning; a beveled rear heel - that puts the heel of the boot under your heel for a more natural gait; and a zillion micro perforations in the closed cell PE foam inner bootie to promote breathability and comfort in addition to warmth. Stack all these details on top of a 6 mm carbon-fiber honeycomb insole, a SBR Aircushion midsole and super technical MPE outer sole with XVS climbing rubber rands and you've got the total package.
