The Petzl COUER Bolt Hanger is super strong and tumbled smooth with a dull, non-reflective finish. Tumbling softens edges which are more friendly to carabiners. Corrosion resistant COEUR type 316 Stainless Steel BOLT HANGER should be used with a Stainless Bolt for maximum life. This prevents electrolysis (and the resulting corrosion) which occurs when there is contact between dissimilar metals. New model has 3 raised bumps on back side to key into rock and prevent hanger rotation - great in both hard and soft rock - like limestone.
