SLIPSTREAM PACK

Before going to work, the SLIPSTREAM is the pack I run hills with most weekdays. It has near perfect balance (better than I) and zero load shift - up, down or sideways - just what we need for active motion sports like climbing. It is also my choice as a simple, no nonsense, bells-and-whistles-be-damned lead, follow, summit & descend pack.

At just 12 oz, it holds all my essentials without holding me back: 17 lbs of rope, rack, shoes and water. It is the lightest of the JET PACK series, fully functional, weather tight and - like it's burlier brothers - climbs as hard as you do. Use for alpine climbs, ice climbs and as an expedition summit pack. Stash a wind shirt or water bladder in the pad pocket - depending on your need. Lead and follow without even thinking about what's on your back!

Each SLIPSTREAM is crafted from lightweight, tear resistant and waterproof fabric and fitted with hydrophobic polyester webbing. Seams are stitched, taped and stitched again... and all straps are well anchored with a bar tack.

The SLIPSTREAM sports padded shoulder straps, an internal zippered mesh smart phone/security pocket and a removable foam pad. You can anchor your water bag to the strap at the top of the pad pocket and simply route the hose out the zipper - right, left or center. Carry all your essential personal gear with you - there's space for water, a snack, wind & rain gear, headlamp and two pairs of approach shoes (or big puffy and mitts for ice climbs).

Take the pad out (easy) and the pack rolls up to the size of a 12" Subway - to stow in haul bag or luggage. Expedition climbers: use as your carry-on... then to compress your sleeping bag or as a giant "piggy-back pocket" - clipped and buckled - around your mountaineering pack. On route, it makes a perfect summit and leaders pack. If you are primarily a rock climber, check our our burly JET PACK - full featured and abrasion resistant to boot. Made in USA.
